C25K Week 1 Day 1

Workout – 5 min: warm up brisk walk

20 min: alternating 1:00 jog/1:30 walk

5 min: cool down easy walk

Stats – 2.37 miles (personal best distance)

    12:40 min/mile (personal best pace)

Conditions – 65 degrees, misting/light rain, mixed terrain (road/grass)

Comments – Wouldn’t you know that on my very first training run, it starts raining less than two blocks from the house…glad to say, it didn’t matter! I do love living in Houston, how many other people have 65 degrees on New Year’s Eve? Felt great, not even winded, but I didn’t expect to be; working is an 8-hour endurance event, five days a week, so stamina isn’t the issue. I know pace and distance will improve, I need to see a trend; for the longest run in twenty years, I am satisfied.
